Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) Ion is ETC's one of the lower-end EOS Family console. 
It consists of two 5 pin DMX outputs, 2 ethernet ports, 2 DVI ports (DVI-A and DVI-I), DP port, 7 USB Ports, eSATA, D-Sub and docking contacts for fader wings on both sides.

The console is primarily used in StAge with two touch displays and [[ETC Universal Fader Wing 2 x 20]]. The ION is the most powerful and capable console currently in use in the union and can control both 601 and the stage simultaneously across up to 2 DMX universes.

There are mainly 2 base-showfiles:

* Standard Union Setup
* Standard Union Setup with Club Patch on port 2

As name suggests, Standard union Setup with club patch extends Standard Union Setup with patches to fixtures in club on second port (on left-most DMX port at the back of Ion console)

There is also a 'Club 602' show file. This show file is a work in progress but contains many effects, presets, sub-masters and other things which may be useful when putting on a full venue club event such as the BOP or sinners.

It is standard practice to make a new show file for each unique event such as a play which has its own unique cues however for recurring events like the bop or sinners in which ques are not used it is not required to make a new show file and an existing file can often be used (such as Club 602 noted above). All show files should be placed in the correct category and folder and they should not have their own folders unless there are multiple show files in the folder. This is so that the show file directory remains clean and uncluttered.

ION should not be used at the same time as TITAN to control club 601 as the behaviour is undefined and can often cause hard to predict and unexpected behaviour from lights. It is possible to control the stage with ION and club 601 with TITAN simultaneously but care should be taken not to interfere with the 601 lights with commands such as sneak. For this reason, it is adviced that if both club 601 and the stage require lighting and they are 2 separate events (divider is closed) that ION is used to control both the stage and 601.
